New Delhi is our national capital. The old city of Delhi had been the capital of Moghul period. Yamuna flows nearby.

New Delhi was founded by British about one hundred years ago. Sir Lutyens designed this beautiful city of gardens.

New Delhi is famous for enchanting gardens, parks, round-abouts, wide roads, open spaces and tree cover. The buildings are magnificent. Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sansad Bhawan, Secretariat blocks, Lotus Temple, Akshardham, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humanyu’s Tomb, Lodi Garden and Red Fort etc are worth watching.

New additions are Delhi Metro, flyovers, subways, stadia, shopping malls, hotels, bazaars and world class railway stations.

Old Delhi is a congested place with narrow lanes. But it has old world charm and simplicity. Some of the busiest wholesale markets are located in old Delhi. The whole of Delhi is dotted with historic sites and monuments.
