Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is the first scientist who became the President of India. He is basically a rocket scientist. He did the ground work and today India is sending rockets into space and to moon.
Dr. Kalam was born in Tamilnadu on October 15, 1931. His father was a hard working boat maker. But he was very conscious for his son’s proper education. A.P.J. Kalam went through schools, colleges and institutes.
He joined Defence Research Development Organisation and shifted to Indian Space Research Organisation. SLV-3 was his remarkable achievement. He worked on missile projects and became ‘Missileman of India’.
He infact is a very peace-loving benevolent soul. Very polite and well mannered he is. We know humility is the virtue of truly great. We can see its truth in A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Now, he is no more our president but the people adore him and hold him in high esteem.
